(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); My ps3's fan is going extremely fast and loud, this is making me think the ps3 is going to freeze and shut down or blow up :O any help would be appreciated!! i have looked online for fancontrol but my firmware is to updated for the homebrew :(

It shouldn't be that loud with the settings i told you, you might need a more effective solution such as new Arctic 5 Silver Thermal Paste which was previously suggested.

what it does is when you set the temperature you want it the fan will run very fast until it reach the temp you put in webman once the temp that you put is reached is slows down but if its very loud you might have to change the thermal paste like jesse said and while changing the thermal paste i would recommend cleaning the ps3 and removing the dust inside the ps3

Nothing compares to when it's at 80+ lol but I do 55-65. Works fine, noticeably sound.

ahh so it could be running to low hence why so loud ? i know i need this thermal paste but that may do the trick Smile

Well if your thermal paste is bad then no matter the speed of the fan it won't make a difference. You'll want both and clean out system for dust and anything.
