I found my old ps3 which still has the old 3.55 geohotz firmware. How can I update this to 4.80.1 D-REX if I can?

Thinking about the PM. The last firmware I had on that system will have been the latest version potentially. But one of my ps3s which is on 3.55 has the HDD out. Does this mean when I go on that one it will ask for 3.55 or above?

Possibly, just try 3.55, whichever one you were on. If it doesn't work it's fine. You can do a 4.80 CFW or downgrader.
