After loading the game? I would still update to a more stable CFW, whether you plan to play online or not.

Yes after loading the game. And I would update higher to another cfw firmware however my HDD, has been acting complete stupid and while I was trying to get from rebug 3.55 cex is was doing that system loop update error, which I had to switch some old HDD and try to trick the ps3 back into safe mode, which was pain. Can't I fine a multiman version that is compatible with 3.55 rebug cex and Ill be fine for now.

It's supposed to send you to xmb after you load a game. You launch from app_home or insert a disc and the game you loaded will show.
