Post: How to play online using a jailbroken ps3 safely?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi,

I just bought a jailbroken PS3 and I'm new to PS3 modding. I've used mods with steam games but never on PS3. I just want to ask how can I play online (using mod menus, particularly on cod games like modern warfare 3 and black ops 2) safely. I know there is always a risk of playing online with mods but what are some things I can do/check to ensure I don't get PSN/online banned.

Yes, do not use homebrew "come al cazzo" (which in italian means as shit, not to offend you bro)

What I'd do at your point is to avoid going online at all costs (You lack the needed knowledge to not end up CID Banned in a week)
You must be signed in to PSN to go and play with people that are not on LAN or playing with you on your system (Local). Unless everyone you plan to play with is connected to the same router or on the same system, there isn't a way to avoid signing into to PSN to play with others online or in other words "going online".

To drasticly cut down your chances of being CID Banned online, Tnstall the following Homebrew while offline
PSPatch, PSNinja, Rebugtoolbox, Mutiman and CCAPI. [Control Console API]
Some say PSNinja is useless, I use it with PSpatch and I haven't gotten banned.
Once you do that, run these programs while offline to become far safer to go online.
Run PSNinja, delete history, replace history and make it read only.
Then Run Rebug toolbox, once in, go to Utilities, then scrool all the way down to Change Active PS3ID, then select Usse: EID5 84 (CEX)
Then Run PSPatch, once in, press X then you're good to go for online.

Look up an antiban / cheatbypass eboot for the games you want to play online with. BO1 and all COD's after MW3 require an antiban EBOOT to play online without ban.
You install these by placeing the EBOOT in your usrdir folder in the game folder.

I can give you a link for the package file for spoofing if you would like

You need to load your game in multiman before spoofing your console other with it will come up with an error depending if you have the game downloaded on your hdd or disk if you have it on a disk you should be fine If you want to add me on psn just let me know I will show you how to not get banned on cod or add me on skype and I will help you with what I know.

I thought you run multiman (so you can load the game) then you sign into PSN? Is this the correct way of going online?

Yes as some EBOOT's load SPRX menu's (mod menus) but you don't need a mod menu as you could use an rtm tool, just find an eboot that has antiban and you are good to go.

Multiman is basically a filemanager, it lets you put eboots on for games, and you can also get a game disk, transfer the game to your ps3, then you will no longer have to use the disk to load and play the game that is why you see peple use it to load games. But you do not need to run multiman to be able to sign in. All I was saying is be sure not to run multiman (to change games or do whatever) while you are signed in, just be safe, sign out, run multiman and do what you got to do, then sign back in.

You are 100% right. I don't want to log in until I have a full understanding of how I can log into PSN without having a high chance of my CID to be banned.
I'll definitely be downloading and following what you said. I would like to ask how you actually learnt all this? I'm assuming not everyone knew right out the box how do do all this? Any youtube videos/documents you would recommend?

That'd be great, if you could.

If I were to download a random antiban eboot, would that still work if I wanted to use a mod (which already had an eboot file in its download). I also heard some people on PS3 asking how people can run more than 1 mod menu. Is this even possible?

So essentially what we use multiman for is
Load the game in multiman by running the eboot > Delete your history, change PS3ID, patch PS3 > Back out into the main PS3 menu > sign into PSN > go back into multiman to play your game with your mods online

No just use the eboot that comes with the menu, also there is no need to use 2 menus at once.

No. (When signed out) open multiman and load your game if it is saved to your ps3, if you are using a disk there is no need to open multiman. On old games (bo2,mw3,etc.) just sign in and play, dont delete your history or spoof or nothing. Just load the game and play
