(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi I was wondering is it possible to remove the horrid E3 SD Card tray and possibly solder a USB socket in place? So instead of using SD Cards it can now use USB?

It word save the trouble of trying to lay the SD Card in place and trying to close that gate on it just to keep it in place...With USB You can just pop it in, pop it out easily Smile

Is it possible or no?

BTW not sure if where Im posting this is right, but it seems the most suitable place to post it :P

usbs and sd cards basically read and use information the same..they just look different.. maybe. They could have extra points for different power amounts or something..extra grounds..but essentially it is the same in another form.

I don't have the pinout for e3 flasher, nor do I want to risk damaging one of mine..but yea this should be possible if you know the pinout for the e3 and your usb stick..
