Post: Error 10001111 while flashing patched dump

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello guys, so I recently installed E3 flasher, dumped 3 good backups(I was on OFW 4.80), verified them via norpatch v4.81 and PS3 Dump Checker v1.0 (build 490), both of these tools verified and validated the dumps. The backups were good.

I then went on to patch the backup via*PS3 Dump Checker v1.0 (build 490), and when I was flashing the patched backup, the E3 threw the dreaded 10001111 error.

Now my PS3 won't stay on. It turns on for 3 seconds and then turns itself off, on pressing the power button it again does the same thing. There is no YLOD or anything. Now I found out that I can keep it on by soldering a wire to NOR Tristate and GND (my board is JTP-001) and then flash the backups via E3 using the Flash Fun mode.

So my question is after I solder the wire and turn on the PS3, do I need to flash my original backup first via E3 and then flash the patched backup or can the patched backup be flashed directly without flashing the original backup?

Hope you understand the question.

Thank you.

Update: Managed to Ground the tristate, and flash the patched backup successfully. Took the backup once again, compared the backup with original patched dump via HxD, both files are identical.
Now, I am on OFW 4.80. What steps should I take now to be on latest CFW(Rebug)?

IS this the correct order: -
Install 3.55_Rogero_Dowgrader_RSOD.PUP --> QA Flag --> OFW 3.55 --> CFW

Does being on OFW 4.80 changes anything?

Thanks.
