I previously had a bunch of issues with this system by trying to updating to a higher firmware. Such as getting this error: 8002F1F9. I'm currently having a issue enabling the BD Rom on my system which is the main thing I want to do is boot games with out the disc. I've currently read the whole process in terms of CEX 2 DEX however when using Rebug toolbox version 2.02 and trying to click X to Dumb EID root key nothing happens. Toggle Q/A is enabled and everything, I just can't get the bd rom to activate for what ever reason. I also have a problem booting games from the app_home/PS3_Game which gives me this error: 80028F14. Thanks for reading and trying to help me.


Firmware: 3.55.2 CEX Rebug.

Maybe a setting or something messing with something but I have no idea what it could be..your usb may also be taking a dump or not perfectly situated into the slot.
If you don't figure it out, maybe give this a try:

1. Boot ps3 into recovery
2. Select option "restore ps3 system"
This will wipe everything (games,saves,etc)
When it is finished, you will be brought to a black screen, asking for your last syscall(last cfw installed)

4. Once on rogero downgrader, run this pkg on your ps3 You must login or register to view this content.
Your console should beep once and restart.
5. Once restarted, go to settings column of the XMB, all the way to the bottom and press (L1,l3,r1,r2,r3 i think?) and edy/ debug settings should pop up

if it doesn't come up, theres a problem with your disc drive.

Once the system goes into a loop, it's hard to get out of it. I'm currently just trying to get back where i was early. I can't restore anything yet, I have to keep switching HDD's to sike the system out of the System loop.

After like 5 hours today of me trying to get back on 3.55.4 rebug I am on it.

However guys, I just want the BD rom to work for my firmware, is there any PKG that can work for me or BIN file I can but in Multiman to boot games normally. I'm fine with not being online. And this is my 5 time almost bricking my PS3, I'm not going to try to update again, which has proved me wrong alot lol.
