I've seen some pretty convincing ones for 4.81 but it just doesn't seem possible. Can anyone confirm if this would work or if there's any harm in me trying it?

No USB Jailbreak above 3.55 works..
Doesn't matter how convincing people are - don't fall for it. Only way is to downgrade (E3 Flasher) then jailbreak.
