Post: Tmapi?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey all!

Kinda new to the modding scene, but I have picked up some information on my own through the forums and whatnot.

Anyway I have been looking into RTM/RTE tools, and I am aware some tools are much more stable using TMAPI rather than CCAPI. I would like to be able to start using TMAPI rather than CCAPI like I have been using... problem is, even after digging aroud NGU and google alike, I can't seem to find any info about installing and setting up TMAPI. This prompts me to turn to the community to answer a few questions.

1. How do I download/install TMAPI?
2. Is there any system (ps3/pc) requirements/configurations I need to be aware of besides a wired connection and DEX?

I am currently running REBUG 2.81.2 DEX (Converted from CEX using Rebug Toolbox) on a wired connection.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!!! Smile

I also recommend you upgrading your Firmware. I'm currently running 4.81.2

*I am only showing you ONE method of how to do this. This method does NOT require a wired connection to your router/modem.

Benefits TMAPI has over CCAPI: NO LAG

What You Need:
-Ethernet Cable
-PC (wireless internet connection)
-Jailbroken PS3 on DEX
-Brain

1. Connect PS3 to PC via Ethernet Cable.
(leave PS3 turned off)

2. On PC, right click on your wifi and click "Open Network and Sharing Center"

3. Now click "Change adapter settings"

4. Now what you want to do is select your PS3's internet and your computers internet and right click on them and bridge the connections.

5. Once thats done right click on the network bridge and go to properties.

6. Then double-click on "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)"

7. Now go to the alternate configuration tab.

8. Then select user configured.

9. Now heres the tricky part. Under IP address you want to put your routers IP address but change the last number to any # 1-60. For example: My routers IP address is: 10.0.0.1 but I put 10.0.0.45 in the IP slot. Now under subnet mask when you click on it, it should automatically enter your subnet mask. Then for default gateway put your default router's IP address. Now for your preferred DNS server you want to put 8.8.8.8 and alternate 8.8.4.4 Now click OK and your internet should disconnect then reconnect. Now on to the PS3.

10. On your PS3, go to your network settings then internet connection settings. Then select custom>Wired Connection>Auto-Detect>Manual and now you want to enter the EXACT same settings you just set on your computer. Then Automatic>Awesome faceo Not Use>Awesome faceisable. Now when you do the connection test it will most likely fail so turn your PS3 off then on and you should be good.

11. Now you want to go back to your PC and open up target manager. Then you want to search for targets. Now the IP from and to you want to play around with because for me I didn't have to change them and my PS3 still came up. Now when your PS3 comes up right click on it and select move to group then add to debugger. Now it should put your PS3 under a folder called Debugging Station. Now make sure your PS3 is on the XMB screen then on target manager right click on your ps3 and click connect. Your PS3 should connect successfully.

12. Now all you need is a debug EBOOT for your game and a RTM tool/menu and you should be good to go

damn, that sound complicated. All I did was download ProDG Target Manger and search for my PS3's IP. Once Target Manger found my PS3's IP, I right clicked and set to my PS3 to debug station. After it's been assigned to debug station. I reight click and click connect. As long as it has a debug ebbot I'm able to connect any tool with the same update.

Thanks, very informative! But I still am unsure where to find the "target manager" you were talking about in 11.
