just purchased a new console id. was a great purchase got what i paid for.
so my question is on my ps3 i cant use IDPSet as when i open it, it says error: Unsupported firmware..
is there anyother way to set a new console id and also id like to do it securely so i dont get banned again.. is there a way to hide it after its installed so people cant tell im modding.. however i will keep in mind this time not to get caught modding.

CCAPI is the best way to do it. Make sure you are on the latest version of CCAPI which is 2.70.

hey i changed it and clicked set current idps and psid but when i click sign in it still shows the ban message as before

Are you sure it's an unbanned CID?

Make sure you put the CID in the IDPS area and the PSID in the PSID area. Then press set Current IDPS and Set Boot IDPS as well as Set Current PSID and Set Boot PSID. Then restart and see if it works.

You have to click set BOOT on both.

i did it again as you said and it shows the same message.. should i make a new account?

Yes, that may be it. Make a new account and try it.
