(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey NGU, I currently ran into a issue with my CFW while installing some PKG files, everytime I try to install them, I get this error: 80029564. I was trying to install some old NES, GBA, and SNES emulators which I've previously used on 3.55 rebug Cex before, but however when I updated my firmware to Ferrox 4.80 NoBT & No BD, this issue occurred. As always thanks for helping out NGU!

Current Firmware: Ferrox 4.80 NoBT & No BD (My PS3 has a issue with the BD Drive.) However, I can run backups fine (PS1,PS2,PS3.)
Multiman: 04.81.01 (CORBA 7.30 compatible.)
Error Code: 80029564

I've had a quick browse online for this error code, and it's either caused by:

  • Ports being blocked when downloading from the Store (obviously not your issue)
  • Corrupted data when trying to install a game or app (sounds about right)

So I'd try re-downloading the .pkg files/deleting older variants of them to see whether that sorts the problem.

I've tried redownloading the PKG's and checking for higher versions, I also did some research to and came across this youtube video:

However, when I did this method I got some random error.

I try like the basic stuff, reseting PS3 etc. I also tried diff USB's, and still no go. & Ik for a fact my USB's work because I've been transfering files all day.

Thanks for helping!
