(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I downloaded my jailbreak on cex. and I tried to convert to dex and its booted me to a recovers drive saying it cannot be booted correctly. I'm trying to get it to read the usb with and update but it wont work. someone help

I got it to work but its stuck on 98% how long does it take -.-

dude its been stuck on 98% for hours like 3-4

Is your disc drive functional?

Boot your ps3 into recovery.

Select options "restore file system" and "rebuild database"

Then try again.

It was functional yes. And I'm trying to restore file system but it's stuck on preparing

Ok if it freezes during any options in recovery mode, i usually assume the hard drive has taken a dump. Try another known working one.

1. Insert the new hdd into your ps3
2. select option "restore ps3 system"
This will format the drive to your ps3 and wipe everything (games,saves,homebrew etc)
When it is finished, you will be brought to a black screen, asking for your last syscall(last cfw installed)
3. follow prompt and try to install one of those downgraders from there.

So by installing a new hard drive I'm not going to lose my jailbreak??
