What went wrong?
Hundreds/thousands of people now own a jailbroken console?
Everyone got bored, people get bored of coding so maybe thats why all the forums are pretty much dead (no one even bothers updating there tools anymore that's how bad its got)
Will it ever come back alive? the real modding ogs remember the GirlModz, CustomPatcher... DaftVader!
Anyway sorry about the bad grammar feel free to roast me but this is my opinion (may not make sense at all but trying to get an answer of modders themselves )
I wouldn't say its dead its just slowed down and people still buy mods and everything and people still make things and are always looking for new things to do and build. I still have my CFW and i got 2 PS4's and i mod daily on ps3 still and doing services or just having fun with other people and i still play on next gen too.. I don't deal with the drama side of modding and all of that i have a group of people i know and mod with and that;s what we do. So i wouldn't say it dead its just slowing down people still mod its just you wont see a modder in every lobby now and another modder booting another one off cause he wants the lobby. or having one tool and someone cracking someone else's menu/tool cause they don't want to support them or pay for there menu is the stupidest thing i've seen LIKE SUPPORT YOUR FELLOW MODDER? All modder's and coder's or makers of tools put there time into them and work hard for someone to crack it? You crack a tool all i can say is you make one or maybe ask the person who made it how to do it or if they can show you on how to do it. If you can afford a JB ps3 you can afford a mod menu or RTM tool. So modding isn't dead its just slowing down and some have moved on into PC modding too..
