(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello NGU,

I had a quick question, research didn't get me that far so don't blame me and tell me to google first..

I have a jailbroken phat ps3, i also have a ps3 slim with a broken hdd.
Is there any way to put my jailbroken hdd to the ps3 slim without it formatting?

Greetings.

To my knowledge by taking the hard drive from your fat, and putting it in your stock slim, it *will* format the drive. If the slim is jailbroken, it might be possible that it won't format; I am not sure; other users might know the answer.

If you use the same PSN account on both, I'd imagine you'd be able to backup your trophies online, and perhaps some of your saved game data might transfer over. With another external hard drive or flash you could backup to that too, but putting any copy protected files onto another ps3 won't work, so you'd lose those save files.

I will take a look at Clonezilla then, thanks for the link.
However the slim is not jailbroken, it has a broken hdd but I'd like to get the jailbroken hdd from my phat to the slim without formatting..( if this is possible )

Oh that is my mistake then, is there any way to get the jailbreak to my stock slim hdd then?
I don't even care if I lose my game saves or anything as I hardly play single player.
