(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I need help swapping my HDD in my Jailbroken PS3. I have 2 PS3s. 1 is jailbroken, 1 is not. My jailbroken PS3 is running 4.81 DEX on a 160gb HDD. The other one is running OFW on a 750gb HDD. Im trying to swap them. When I put the 750gb in my jailbroken PS3, it starts and asks for a usb containing 2.70 or later, I put 4.81.2 DREX on the usb, and plug it in to the second port of the PS3 and press Start+Select and the PS3 scans the usb, then tells me "No Applicable update data is found." Help would be very appreciated, because I do not want to end up bricking my ps3, or losing my jailbreak.

all you will need to do is plug the hdd into pc and then format it to fat32 then put in the ps3, i am not 100% if the ps3 will be able to format, if u have any question just ask it.

Yea I figured it out. Idk it was a weird problem I had to mess around with 2 usb drives for like 4 hours, but what I did was: I converted back to CEX from DEX, then I swapped HDDs, and I had a lot of trouble updating through recovery, it kept telling me "No Applicable Update Data was found", but after fooling around a few hours with 2 usb drives and both of my usb ports, i finally successfully downgraded to 3.55 with rebugs 999 downgrader, then I converted back to DEX and updated to 4.81 D-REX after fooling around with it for another hour or so. My biggest problem was recovery mode, I could update fine from XMB, but I had to go to the moon and back before I was able to get my ps3 to recognize the PUP file in recovery. It was really stupid, but I got it figured out.
