I dont even use a lagswitch... What I do is just keep clicking on gametype I want and backing out fast until I find the map I want after around 20 or so times of backing out and rejoining... I let it sit on the map I want and it gives me host =D
sry if tht was confusing
but there are other tuts of how 2 with a lagswitch

Firstly, make sure you have good connection with at least a 0.3Mbps upload speed, if not go get one.

Secondly, Test your ping at You must login or register to view this content., if your line is grade A/B then continue if not then you are very unlikely to get host.

Thirdly, Make sure your NAT Type is Open, Moderate is very unlikely you'll get host, and on strict your chances of getting host are none.

Fourthly, Do not download anything, do not upload anything.

Fifthly, if you follow these rules there's a high chance you will get host in real games. Unless I happen to be in your lobby, then there's a slim to no chance

Firstly try exiting multiplayer to main menu and then go back to multiplayer, that will refresh the NAT type, if ti's still moderate keep trying. If not turn off the console and try it. If it doesn't turn off the router. Now if it doesn't tell me what console you are using

Im guessing that's AOL that you are using so yes you would be able to get host, I used to be on AOL before I switched to virgin in January, I would pull off host sometimes.

To tell if you're host these are the things you need to look out for:

1. In the lobby, look at the top when the countdown begins, if it says "Match Beginning in...." and that text vanishes it means you are host, this can be seen on both Xbox 360 and PS3. Now if that changes to launching... you are not host (PS3). On Xbox the Match Beginning in.. would not disapear before map loads and would stay.

2. During Host Migration in game, if your screen goes black after Awaiting Connection 0, that means you are the new host. If it says Awaiting Connect 1 after Awaiting Connection 0 then you are not host.

I will try have a video uploaded showing you what I mean.

Remember you have to have NAT Type Open. Try reconnecting it to your router, try using fixed Ip on your PS3, Im guessing you would have a netgear router, so by logging into your router and clicked attached devices, reserve an IP slot for the PS3.
