    cl_allowdownload

and

    cl_allowupload

What this does is it makes the game allow downloads and uploads of files. As TheUnknown said This means that maybe we get the saved patch and use this code with his cvar tool to somehow install the patch or we just use this code to get past the checksum.

You don't have to bypass the checksum you change it. Although you need to know the formula SRC standard is my bet. Read on ckecksums on Wiki...

Usually if a game has these functions it's to send information. This is how the internet works, a server has files and when a person wants to access them they "download" them to change what the people download someone must "upload" new files. Basically what I think this snippet does is send all the client information to the host of the game and then it's all downloaded by the players. With all this working at once it cause it to look like a real online game. I am also 100% sure this will not effect the update feature because the PlayStation software checks for updates Call of Duty doesn't have an update feature like MAG where the game downloads it, instead the system downloads the Call of Duty update and installs it. Not to crush your dreams but it's not going to do what you want it to do, but it still may be very useful!
