(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});I AM NOT SURE IF ALL THESE STEPS IF ANY ARE REQUIRED PLEASE EXPERIMENT. BUT THIS WORKED FINE FOR ME
Prerequisites
A PKG file
A Hex editor You must login or register to view this content.
FTP server on PS3
FTP client on PC
Firstly create a new folder and call it a name with 8 numbers in it, I did "00000006" (unsure if you can put any numbers in)
Then put the 3 files that you downloaded and the PKG file You must login or register to view this content.
It does just installed something but I think it only works on stand alone stuff because my add on didn' t work cause I don' t know where the game reads the dlc
None of us should have to do this, this is totally optional, and this is twice as hard. Nice to have tutorials though so I give you credit for that. But that is all.
and so I suceeded on installing a add on but the game doesn't recognize it any thoughts on this?
my point excatly, if we can't get these pkg files working on our ps3s there is no point in doing this at all, waste of time, most of the pkg files need a psn ID to work with that user or they will not load properly.

Well first off I know most of the games being played from backup manager aren't even compatible with add-ons that were purchased, so I don't get what you're saying. This tutorial is showing how to add demos, trying an add-on is what I'd imagine a little different.
