Sony are'nt only on top of the jailbreak, they are on top of pretty much all the hacking of the actual console its self. They were quick to patch the Other OS feature as soon as they found out about GeoHotz exploit. The PS3 hasn't really had a credible hack with the exception of the PSJailbreak and they patched that within a day. Sony definitely brought their A-Game along with them when it came to making and maintaining the hacking on the PS3.

The DNS method has been patched by Sony.

If you want to get your patch up just get a ps3 on FW 3.41 or lower. If its lower just update it via USB with the installation of Sony's 3.41.

Ok sry for my noobish ways but lets say i get a patch to work on 3.41 and i hit backup on a usb then on my 3.50 ps3 couldnt i get the patch from the USB then install it to the 3.50? or would i have to find a way to play online with 3.41

If you get a working patch on your ps3 if its on FW3.41 and then update to 3.50, you will still have the patch and you can use it online.

COOL but what if i wanted to edit the patch would i have to buy ANOTHER ps3 with 3.41

There be never a jailbreak for 3.42 or higher.

Sony has a Anti theft department or copyright one of them
they work 24/7 on the www. to find anything.

Option buy your self a new ps3 and update it to 3.41

If you have two ps3 one on 3.41 one on 3.50 dont backup it wont resotore the patch on other ps3. use the data transfer dont update your 3.41 as its worthless and you cant change patch after you update
