looks like a better backup manager that includes copying from hd->usb and back also splits >4gb files and has ftp, we need your stealth magic again hehe

Seriously why are you trying to "stealth" things.

#1, changing the ID and icon does NOT make it stealth.
#2, you are not online with 3.41 so why does it matter?

#1 changing the ID makes it safer to go online because patch.dat and game.dat and boot_history.dat records all the IDs if it is legit less to worry about

#2 somebody will release a way to get online soon not everybody is an ass about sharing

If you think sony would only look at the ID you have a lot to learn about the console.

A simple scan of the file system will tell them if their is dev packages installed no matter what the ID is.

Call me whatever you would like, not all of us want things to get patched in 24 hours. Look at Sony's history. They handle security issues quickly.

looking at IDs would be far easier for them and people can easily remove + reinstall the packages to go online

and it is going to be patched eventually all thats happening now is that people who didn't take computers as their study or hobby are losing out because other people won't share. it's not like SONY doesn't already know you are going online they can read the same forums as the rest of us and they are smart enough with this stuff to know how you are doing it by all the clues even if we are not.

How about this?
We don't update to 3.50 and stay on 3.41...
Someone releases a CFW booted from HDD that does one of two things:
1. has the index.dat of 3.50
2. has removed all checks for firmware (I'm nearly there!)
Then, when we want to Jailbreak, we don't sign in/disconnect from internet
Then we restart without jailbreak, and go online...

I know Sony are good, but I can't see them checking EVERY SINGLE PS3 console for unsigned packages... Only way they could do it would be release an UPDATE... -->> Return to beginning...

Automatic checking upon signing into PSN can happen with ease. It would be server side checked not console side.

if its automatic why is it you can stay signed in while a system update has come out. sony dont do automatic checkings a network transfer sniffer will prove this
