French site PS3GEN has reported that PS3 Developer RichDevX, is working on a payload, to get the PS3 into Service Mode,here is a translated quote from the source:

This is infact useless to anyone with the 3.50 update. I just tried it myself and it failed. >:/ What i did was download the 3.41 update, put it in a file called "UPDATE" then put that in a file called "PS3". This allows the PS3 to register it. Then I put it on my jump drive and put it in my PS3. To get in service mode, turn your PS3 off. Then hold the power button down untill it turns on and off again. Then press and hold it again, you should hear a beep, then two consecutive beeps. After those you let go and press the PS button. Then go to System Update and it will ask for 3.50 or higher, and it can tell the difference. :/ If anyone can get this figured out it would be very much appreciated.
