Between the rumours which claim that Sony set up stamped versions 3.41 which
3.42 are concealed in fact almost everywhere on internet and the uncertain links
on which we can hang we are never sure of anything now.
PS3UPDAT.PUP Version can seem useless but that finds all its utility before
the update of its PS3 to use a dongle and so avoid any unpleasant surprise...

sorry to say but a lot of people already now this just use Hex and type version in text you we'll find it you can even change it and use it on Ps3 but after 99% you will get corrupted data and your ps3 will brick and you will have to use safe mode blah blah blah
