What You Need?:
A PS3
A Hairdryer
A Box That Can Fit The PS3 In(Small as Possible)
A Fan

NOTE: Only Try This If The 5 Minute Hair Dryer Trick Does Not Work


Steps:
1)Collect Equipment
2)Unplug PS3
3)Put In In Box
4)Turn On Hairdryer (High Temp)
5)Go Over The Fans(On Ps3)/Keep Moving (For 20 Minutes)
6)Put Fan On The Ps3 Fans /For 20 Minutes
7)Turn On

Yea I did a reflow once (with opening it, not like this tard) and it worked for about 30 minutes, even less actually, then kaboom I got a YLOD

I was pissed! Took me like 2 hours lol. All those parts, ugh. I used radioshack artic silver thermal paste and a heat gun, I don't know what I did wrong. I haven't fixed it since. I wish I could know that I'll do it right so I would do it, and be able to play online again! Having one PS3 isn't enough these days with all this jailbreak craze. Sucks.

Yea hes right, this could harm the Ps3 even more. If you want to fix the Ps3 completly you will have to take it apart....

this is a good way to do it if ur warrenty is out.. its a temp fix and u can get all ur info and saves off the hdd, afterwards trade it to gamestop while its still working i did this and it does work... for u guys who said it melted ur ps3, dont hold the hairdryer so close. about 3 to 4 inches should be good enough
