The theory isn't patchable

So does Geohot know a way to jailbreak on 3.50. If so, Is he going to do an Unkn0wn/hunter and not release his hack?

You know it takes a lot for one guy to sit down and figure a way around what an office full of people have put together to avoid more jailbreaking. So yeah it might take a while. But im sure he will release when its ready. He might just charge for this one who knows? In any aspect if he does charge it will leak sooner or later with the profit going toward better/easier ways to jailbreak on newer patches. So just let that simmer in your mind a bit.

Yes King Koopa is right, that was posted over 1 year ago.

Doubt ps3 will get jailbroken on 3.50, unless they make a new FW update with a hole in there wall Happy

Maybe he just left the PS3 hacking scene, I don't follow the iPhone scene, I'm jailbroken with jailbreakme.com, so I don't follow new FW jailbreaks as there's no updates for the 1st gen iPod touch anymore, or since I've last checked

He's not lying. He spent a long time looking for the exploit and if you read how it actually works you would see that it is not patchable. He didn't retire. He just said that so people would get off his back. He was working on an iPhone hack and wanted peace and quiet while he did it. Greenp0ison was released recently for all iOS devices.

Here's how the PS3 hack works, it is similar to all the iOS hacks. It's an injection of code, that is all. The code basically says "unlock everything." You can do it yourself if you want, here's how. One: you need to find where the security breaks down because their creator's do not want the creations to work outside of they way they were designed. Two: You insert the piece of code that says unlock.

That's it, the system is open. At that point it's up to you to do something with it. Some people did. And SONY then patched this version of the implementation. The glitch is still there.
