I saw on a site that its a possible knock off, but there was a way to convert the knock offs with a program on the computer... but again, it doesnt read it.

Try using differnt USB port's on your PC, then see if there enabled and what power they are. Btw, is it original psjailbreak? or another one?

I tried all 3. Im using a laptop with vista. Idk if that matters or not but i have tried everything to get it to read this thing. I makes the sound of it connecting, but nothing happens. I bought it from the original site and it has the verified stuff on the case, but it has this line on it that is similar to the fakes.

Umm what is the exact site you bought it off of? Because I almost bought mine off of a fake site thinking it was a real site go to psjailbreak.com and re download the psupdater maybe that will work

I did get it from psjailbreak.com. I made sure i was doing it right and still got a fake. And i reinstalled it 5 times already. STILL nothing /facepalm

the exact site was ps-jailbreak.com. and yes it was an authorized dealer.

If it was definitely ps-jailbreak instead of downgrade, then yes, you have a fake
