Funny your trying to be a smartass, when your wrong. Service mode isn't for Downgrading but thats how its being used. And maby you should read his post again. Let this sink in for a second "SERVICE MODE"

Does anyone have a jailbroken PS3, I know hunter does, or did, I want to look through the firmware files, if we have people looking through them it may help a lot for getting a CFW, if we use USBFirm Loader or w/e it's called it loads it in the system's RAM, (I think) I know it's only until the system restarts, in theory we could find a working CFW and then use the PSdowngrade to write the working CFW to the system's flash

Hunter, I saw u post about service mode on PS3news, I can't access that site anymore for some reason, do you know what you can do in service mode? I heard a rumor you can sign programs for the PS3 console, I don't know what's true
