it isn't just a USB adapter,
it's like a cross between a PSJB and a TF reader. the TF card acts like a PSJB's flash memory which can update the dongles FW i'm guessing

For those not familiar with the E3 Card reader, it is a PSJB clone capable of jailbreaking the PS3 with MicroSD card support
