(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Now that the new FW 3.55 has been released,
I have an idea.

Sony recognises the 3.55 update on the console whenever it checks on the internet, so if we hex edit the 3.41 firmware and change it to 3.55, we may have tricked the PS3 into stickng 3.41 firmware on 3.55.

I am going to test this tomorrow, if anyone wants to test it tonight, let me know. :y:

Firstly, it never worked last time because I was the last one who did it. It failed because it never recognised. This may work. I have downloaded the 3.41 firmware and edited it so all I need to do it put it on my USB and hope for a miracle.

The problem is that the FW has to be "signed" by Sony, when you edit it the sign is remove. Therefore, the PS3 doesn't see it as a official FW and wont update
