(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello everyone,

So 3.55 came out today but more than ever there is talk of an open source solution to downgrading so I'm seriously considering it if it's going to be free but I have a few questions I would be grateful if someone can answer.

1. If I downgrade will I be able to play online?
2. What are the main benefits of downgrading?
3. After I downgrade to say 3.41, then what can I do that I can't do now?

If you answer please quote me! Or else I might forget lol :P

Help would be appreciated

1. Once a 3.55 spoofer comes out, yes you would be able to.
2. Jailbreaking ps3 let's you use mods, custom patches, and homebrew.
3. Answer to number 2 is pretty much the same.
+rep if I helped?

Yeah there's bound to be black ops patches someday, if you want to be on current firmware just update as usual, not really any catch to be honest?

So your saying once you jailbreak the files are on your ps3 and they there forever?
So I could use the E3 card that is being shipped to me, downgrade my 3.50fw ps3 to 3.41, jailbreak it, update it to 3.55, be able to play online as if ps3 was never jail-broke, and load up the jailbreak on fw3.55 whenever I want after that?

Does that make sense?

If you update to 3.55 you will lose jailbreak but NOT the modded patch, at least under most circumstances but thanks for reps guys really appreciate it

Your safest bet is to have 2 ps3s one that stays on 3.41 and one on current fw. You would simply use data transfer utility with an Ethernet cord to transfer the modded patch from the 3.41 console(jailbroken) to the current fw console which would allow you to play online the easies way and only way possible right now
