Im pretty sure when PlayStation bans (not suspends) they block your mac ip address wich is hard wired and cant really be changed its pretty much set by the company making the network cards. So that means the only way to change your ip addresses would be to change your mac network card. which you can buy for a pretty fair price on ebay, My question is do you have to put they exact model card in or would it not matter?
Also don't close this thread this is helpful for all the people that might get banned in the future.Smile
I might make a video on youtube on how to change it if i get requests.

First of all, the bans aren't on your ip address or mac address, its on your account, if you make a new account you log in fine.

Secondly, game consoles aren't like computers where you can just change all the parts and they'll still work.

Thirdly, the mac address isn't on your network card.

Lastly, don't post things you don't know anything about in future, thanks in advance.

The funny thing is you think you're right when you're not, you can't replace parts other than the Hard drive on game consoles(usually, none other than hard drive on ps3).

And new accounts do work... dude I've been banned on psn for talking shit constantly on ps home and just made a new account to do exactly the same thing.

Do a barrel roll!
NOT a stupid post at all. It brought up an open discussion of possible things to do if you get banned. Why does everyone here flame instead of help? Hasn't any of your mothers EVER taught you "if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all"?

it was a perfectly legit question and theory.

and now thanks to this question I know all i have to do is make a new account to avoid having my main one banned. I just want to use the 3.50 DNS spoof...i'm sure sony will ban for using that lol.

It wasn't a theory, he outright told us what he told us were straight facts, e.g. the title 'How to unban your self on ps3', none of this works, and also look at the facts I've got on my original post on this thread, those prove all of his methods of unbanning wrong, because they're actually true.

If it is such a good theory go and open up your PS3 and take your network card out then you cant connect to the internet I'm pretty sure MAC Address Bans or Console Bans are pretty rare & MAC Address is built into the motherboard or hardware its self
