How to downgrade your PS3 with the devices that use Rockbox:

THIS TUTORIAL IS FULLY WORKING :y:

So today i have finally found the way, how to downgrade your ps3 with rockbox.

What you will need:

• A USB Flash Drive
  
• a Jailbreak device that uses rockbox
  
• The rockbox.ipod downgrade file for your ipod, Download them here You must login or register to view this content.
  
• The lvl2diag.self files and the modified 3.41 pup file, which you can download from here: You must login or register to view this content.
  

So now you have everything.

The Tutorial:



1. Download the files that i have listed up.
2. Find the rockbox.ipod for your device and drag it to your desktop
3. Connect your iPod to the PC (remember your iPod has to be in Disc Mode, you can get him easily in disc mod my pressing Menu and the select buttom, now when you get the black screen, fast press the select and play buttom.
4. After you have connected your ipod to the PC open rockbox on ur iPod. now there should be a file called rockbox.ipod, now drag the file from before in the rockbox folder, press on overwrite and now you are done.
5. After you have downloaded the lvl2diag.self files and the modified 3.41 pup file, drag the 3.41 pup file into ur flash drive (ur flash drive has to be formatted as FAT32). now there are 2 lvl2diaf.self files, we will take the 1st file and drag that lvl2diag.self into your flash drive. Now you are done and u can plug ur flash drive out of ur iPod.

PS3

5. Now we are at the PS3. Turn your PS3 totally off (Press the Off buttom on fat ps3 and plug the power cable out of ur slim) Insert your iPod and now turn your ps3 on. Now you will have to be quick, reboot your iPod (Menu + Select buttom) and after u get a black screen on ur iPod quickly press Power and Eject on ur ps3.
6. Now it will take a while till ur ps3 is turned on. (if ur ps3 turns off after u have rebooted ur ipod just plug the ipod out of the ps3 and turn the ps3 on like normal)
7. Now you are in service mode =D
8. Turn ur ps3 off like normal. Now plug the Flash Drive from before into ur Ps3, turn the PS3 on, now this will take a while till ur ps3 is turned on.
9. Now you are on Firmware 3.41 and you have 3/4 of the Downgrading done.

PC

10.Insert you USB back into your computer, and open it in windows explorer. You will now see 3 files opposed to the 2 you had earlier. The new one is a log of the downgrades progress. Delete all of these files, and copy the lvl2diag.self file from the FILE 2 folder onto your Flash Drive, and remove it again

11. Go to ur PS3, plug ur flash drive into it and turn the ps3 on, now the factory mode is gone and you can finally jailbreak your ps3 :y:

12. YOU HAVE FINALLY DOWNGRADED YOUR PS3, HAVE FUN =D

Just tried it, booted up into 3.50 normally as usual, although it made the 3 beeps when I turned it on. Do you just press power and then eject like with the regular jailbreak?

ha idk man im trying to figure it out to! i tried doing jailbreak method but it didn't work, was watching videos of ppl downgrading using other devices and there ps3s shut down when they do it, u got a psn pm me it we'll figure this out

Well, I was planning on taking a nap and giving it a try after a little rest. So maybe when I get up if it's not figured out we can try it lol.

so i download on desktop, now what, how do i put it on my ipod? :confused:

how do I put this on my ipod nano 1g I got map and when I open the map I see lots of maps with android bootloader firmware help me

i think i have found a different way, i will try and downgrade my ps3 with it now, i already got the files ony my ipod, i will just go and try it now hopefully it will work :dunce:

well i tried to do it the same as with the E3 Card, but it didnt work with my ipod nano 1g
