I am new to this and if this question already has been asked and answered, please forgive me.
I am wondering is there anyway I can downgrade my PS3 with regular usb drive?

not by itself you can't access service mode on your ps3 with it, you need an itouch or a ti84 to get it into service mode and then you use the usb to downgrade

Not necessarily.. You can use a wide range of devices, But yes to downgrade/jailbreak you'd need to use the files off your FAT32 Formatted Flashdrive.

I just ordered E3 card reader today, but I have to wait it for 5-7 days because it ships from China (Lighttake.com). 7 days!!!!
