JaiCraB and ps3mrenigma have released an app that gets us one step closer to custom firmware. Their app, entitled Mount Alejandro, enables writing to the dev_flash, by mirroring dev_flash to dev_alejandro and making dev_alejandro the active one. As everyone should know by now, dev_flash are where your console's firmware files are stored after installation. Please use caution when using this app since it deals with your PS3's flash.

This application allows the mounting of the unit / dev_Alejandro.
This unit is a mirror of the unit / dev_flash, still is active as well.

Unit / dev_flash no writeable useful to read the old way, but the new SI is writable.

This is why we are not responsible for any misuse that can be given to this application, the method used, etc.

As end users ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE USE OF THE SOFTWARE WILL you do IN YOUR MACHINE!
