I was thinking of doing this to one of my ps3's are there any advantages i heard you cant run any of the apps such as backup manager or ftp server as the apps were not designed to work on debug consoles.

Can you test if these apps work ? And Can you sign in to psn with this ?

hahahaha, should have just used the CTRL+ALT+ARROW KEY to rotate the screen. Anyway, having debug firmware on a retail PS3 doesn't do much since basically all of the debug options don't work unless there's been an update over the past few weeks.
