Tutorial:
Rename the downloaded file to PS3UPDAT.PUP.

Have a clean flash drive, its easier to understand this way.

Create a folder on usb and call it PS3.

Create a folder in the ps3 folder on the usb called UPDATE.

Then copy the PS3UPDAT.PUP(downloaded and renamed file) into the update folder.

Then put the usb into your ps3, go to system update and update via storage media.


Will continue to update as necessary... I will add correctly signed packages that we can install with this CFW when they come available, none exist at the moment. STOP ASKING!

Personally I will not be installing this. I see it now "Thousands of ps3's killswitched in a major spike by sony. A known ps3-modifying team released the first custom firmware! At around 3 AM EST Sony activated a modification kill switch that when a different hash was detected it bricked every ps3. The players are calling this the hacker's holocaust." I shall wait a few days first. xD

if u are on 3.41 do not download the files as the.pkgs does not work, it is just a beta showing that improvements are made and that its possible, meaning it is not signed, so its like ur gonna be updating to 3.55, but if ur on 3.55 u have nothing to lose so download it and see for your self, all we need to do know is get it signed, like make a back up manager signe and then we are good to go

Once again, useless. I'm waiting another couple days before risking bricking my PS3. I really don't care about a stupid option that does nothing. If I can get homebrew on my PS3, I will download.
