Oh really, you think that Sony won't ban you because of how many users have visited a website? Well, to begin with, there are barely any people who have gone out to buy a PS3 yet because of this CFW release, because at the end of the day, the average joe consumer isn't going to hack their PS3 for homebrew, they want free games. Yet again, the average joe consumer is likely to buy a games console and buy games for it, because they know no better. Whilst there are a fair share of gamers and fairly techy people buying these devices, the majority have no clue what they are doing, so the CFW may result in a few more sales here and there for the console, but it won't be a dramatic increase. It's also extremely important to note that Sony makes very little to nothing on Console sales, and relies heavily on the sales of the games for its console. I will say one thing however. Sony won't ban anyone if no piracy comes of this. The entire point of providing "Other OS" was to give hackers something else to do other than hack the PS3. Once they decided that they wanted to start hacking the PS3, and started poking around with Backup Managers, Sony shut it down. PSJailbreak got lawyered to hell and back because not only did it infringe on so many patents, it explicitly stated "buy me for free games of the interwebz!" Furthermore, if we go back to the PSP hacking scene, especially in the early days, Sony was sending out Cease and Desists left right and centre because of the emphasised need and use of an ISO Loader. Honestly, Sony would have no need to bring the hammer down on Homebrew, BUT because this usually leads to Emulation, by law, they have to stop users from doing so, because those users are infringing on the Intellectual Property rights of other companies like SEGA and Nintendo (come on most of the emulators are for these systems

).
Simply, what I mean to say is: The original post is EXTREMELY naive, and you need to get your head out of the dreamworld you seem to live in, Sony is a multi-billion dollar corporation that has been suffering losses for a few years in a row now, so I HIGHLY doubt they are going to be lax about losing sales in the Gaming Division, especially when it was only just starting to break even and make a profit.
