1. Can the CFW be detected and is it illegal?
2. Is there any risk of being banned by Sony - should i not sign into the playstation network or anything like that?

nobody really knows yet but if the packages are signed theres not really any way it could be detected but im not sure

1) no sony cant see if you have cfw or original firmware..the key it's uqual..if the sony ban...ban ALL account...with original firmware or custom firmware..cant see the difference

No they cant see it. Cause the version is 3.55, like all people. The only thing is, if your playing illegal games you can be banned. But geohot does not want that, so he disabled it. But Im sure people are going to work on getting free games.

He disabled it to dont break the law, not for us, because the 20% of gamers are here, and sony dont want to lose that part of consumers.

Who cares anyway, 3.60 is on its way, probably released on monday.

The 3.55 Online server will be shut down by wednesday, So all these CFW wont work Online anymore.

no mate we cant get banned theres really no way for thm to see if it a a custom firmware as it will just say 3.55 on their servers.
