I know most of you probably didn't bother reading geohots terms and agreements but at the very bottom it stated something like allowing cross game chat. I know im probably going to get flamed in some way for this but i just think that if i can get the word out there someone that can actually program will make it
Couldn't one use the built in chat function (video/voice) within the FW and in someway allow it to maintain function through xmb while in game play instead of forcing to run one at a time? I believe that is a good area to start.
Geohotz's CFW will not have cross-game chat out of the box. Someone has to develop it first and sign it with his tools.
Also, a cross game chat doesn't have to be server-side. You could use a peer-to-peer model and the person who started the chat would serve as host......and yes all of the participants of the voice chat room would have to be using a CFW so that they would have access to the voice chat application.

From the rumors I've seen the ps3 is getting google tv in the spring which will have cross game chat. Idk how true this, like I said this is just a rumor I saw...
