If you open xRegistry.sys it calls for the avatar many times for each Account on your PS3

nope no tools that i know of to edit the dat file anyways so SOL on this one sorry to get your hopes up it was just an idea LOL

i tried it and couldnt get it to work.

I found the other url link for your avatar, it also has all the links for your friends avatars,
Its in dev_hdd0/mms/db/meta_db_hdd
The file is 27,000,848
Not sure if this is the one the other guy found, i'm just trying to help out

That is the cache. Not the actual one. I have tried that multiple times..
