If you open xRegistry.sys it calls for the avatar many times for each Account on your PS3

psn_avatar is where your bought avatars are saved..

make .dat a image, edit it, make it .dat.. put on ps3..
and go to avatars to bought ones and find that one

That guy just wanted attention. There is NO possible way to do this unless you hacked into Sony and uploaded the Image to the PSN Avatar Selection list.

doesnt sony controle the psn server so it cant be changed?

lol that guy is no fake i just edited the http from what ftp gave me from ftp and it sticks wonder if people can see it.

I haven't seen any proof on custom avatars showing for friends. You can have no avatar at all though
