Because I actually know what I'm talking about, I'm not a 12 year old with a usb like yourself who instantly thinks there a hacker because they can download a file to XMB and use it.

sorry dude but i dont classify my self as a hacker just because i have a usb and isntalled file to the XMB and no i am not a 12 year old. Maybe there files are encrypted in some other way bla bla bla, but i guarantee there will be a CFW on another update. Could be the next update, may not, may be the one after that.. but i guarantee that they will find the right keys and other stuff needed to make another CFW. P.S: why would i install files to my XMB when i have a jailbreak device?

Got 2 questions.

1. They will only be banning the currently PsnID, the one you are signed in with?

2. When there is a new FirmWare, will then be able to Update and get back Original FirmWare?

1. They will most likely ban your psn ID and the console as it has modified firmware. (but this is only if they are going to ban people)

2. Unknown yet but if they ban you there wouldn't be much point going back to original as sticking with the custom firmware would probably be your best chance of getting back online.

They can whitelist the old games, just so you know.

But on top of that, we have the root key which is hard-coded into the hardware, and can't be changed, therefore, they CAN patch current CFW, but GeoHot or someone else can just bypass it with a new CFW

I would add Comgeinies file manager as well, people may ask how can I swap files on my ps3 if other homebrew is made soon. And its what I use for MW2 lobbies as you keep the map packs and I find it easier.
