If the Sony bans the people with the CFW it will lose a lot of sells... Then I think the winner are the Hackers of Ps3.

Well Sony is billion dollar company VS a regular dude. In my opinion, I think Geohot will win. As he also stated he is confident in the BBC article. It would suck seeing if it backfired at Sony and it became legal to jailbreak PS3s.

wouldn't that mean that people who have been banned already bought a PS3?
even if they started banning, that only gonna stop a few people from purchasing their hardware.

this is my opinion so dont flame (as much as i love geohot) i think sony will win and hopefully they do, (hopefully not sending geohot to jail) but it will set an example, ps3 was good untill all this cfw shit happened, i didnt mind JB as not that many people had them. Overall i just want gaming to go back to what it was and should be, skill and determination to win. JB opens so many windows yet 99% of them are climbing through a window called MW2 CL pl0x.

This is not flaming in any way, but I hated playing legit, got boring after a while :/ Hacking has shown new light to more addicted gamers.

No idea who will win, allthough it looks like Sony are trying to sue him for damages, damages being loss to Sony which as of yet Geo's CFW has'nt caused them any. They havent lost any revenue by Geo enabling homebrew to be used, which at the moment is pretty much all his CFW has enabled.

Nice that Sony's lawyers phone numbers are readily available on the notices served on Geo veiwable on his website.

as i stated in another post... it is legal to jailbreak a ps3 in spain a court named it....
but in australia it is illegal..... so anything can happen but i dont think sony will ban people
