Let's hope it's that simple. This is the great part about gaming in my opinion. It's the people that freak out over stuff like this that are really addicted to gaming. I understand that they are upset about piracy but this opens the doors for sooo much more.

The ability to sign .pkg's gives people the chance to develop their own software for the PS3. It could lead to some great things.

Long run hackers, even if it is patched other ways will be developed. People will stay on 3.55 or below and create homebrew to enable features like cross game chat possibly accessing a online servers without being signed in I don;t know what homebrew can do but hackers don't stop.
