Required

  • Custom v3.55 Geohot firmware - [You must login or register to view this content.]
  • Original v3.55 Sony firmware - [You must login or register to view this content.]
  • (note: you only need the original firmware if your system is currently running a custom firmware!)
  • USB flashdrive

  1. Plug your flashdrive into your PC, make a folder on it called "UPDATE" (yes, in caps)
  2. If you have a custom firmware on your PS3 already, then put the offical Sony firmware update in the "UPDATE" folder, and then install it on your system
  3. If you do not have a custom firmware and are currently running retail (official) v3.55 firmware on your system, put the custom Geohot firmware in the "UPDATE" folder
  4. Navigate to "settings" on your PS3
  5. Navigate to "system update" and then use "update via storage media"
  6. Make sure your flashdrive is plugged into your PS3; then just install the custom firmware from your USB flashdrive


If you hear nine or more beeps, then your PS3 shuts itself off - it worked.

when download the custom firmware it's name is cfw355ghbte.rar and i do everything that u do it dosent find anything on the ps3 storage update
