Plug your flashdrive into your PC, make a folder on it called "UPDATE" (yes, in caps)
If you have a custom firmware on your PS3 already, then put the offical Sony firmware update in the "UPDATE" folder, and then install it on your system
If you do not have a custom firmware and are currently running retail (official) v3.55 firmware on your system, put the custom Geohot firmware in the "UPDATE" folder
Navigate to "settings" on your PS3
Navigate to "system update" and then use "update via storage media"
Make sure your flashdrive is plugged into your PS3; then just install the custom firmware from your USB flashdrive
If you hear nine or more beeps, then your PS3 shuts itself off - it worked.
