UPDATE # 2

*Ok guys so ive got some new goods for the community! I told you i would keep this thread updated so here i am with another thread update  .

In this update i have some signed .pkg PSN games that are fully working ONLY on Geohots CFW 3.55.

*Tut*

  • 1.Download the .pkg and place it in the root of a USB flash drive.

  • 2.Plug flash drive to ps3 and install .pkg.

  • *2b. SOME files have TWO .pkg's. The game, and the patch. Install the game .pkg FIRST, then the patch .pkg*

  • 3. Restart your ps3(not needed but recommended)

  • 4. Play :hitman:

Now some of these work online, some do not.! Once again thanks for all the appreciation of this thread, its the community that motivates me to do things like this! NGU4Life FTW!
Enjoy.

Hey guys I'm new but I could use some help.. I downloaded the NFS:HP EUR iso because it's at my cousins house right now and he lives quite far away.

Anyway, I installed a PKG I downloaded ( though I'm not sure if it's an EU PKG or US PKG ), then moved all of the files from USRDIR to the new folder in my devHDD0/game/bles0000949 folder or whatever it was.

But I still get a black screen when starting up the game? What could I be doing wrong? :( I'm a sad panda right now..

did you use your old eboot.bin or the one from the pkg you installed?

you need to use the one from the pkg.

Hey guys, I'm a total noob...I'm pretty confused about how to play backed up games....someone confirmed that splatterhouse works, and that is the game that I am trying to play. I backed up the game using multiman...I think I just hit the x button and it did it for me. Then I downloaded the pkg file from this forum, put it on a memory stick, and plugged it into the ps3. I then went to install package files, and installed the splattehouse eboot.pkg file. Splatterhouse then appeared under the game menu, but when I hit it,'or press triangles, and select "start" it just gives me a black screen, and I have to shut off my ps3. When I attempt to play it from multiman, it gives me a prompt/warning asking if I want to play it directly from the xmb, or something like that....and then the screen goes black for a few seconds, and I return back to the homescreen (like with all the menus...xmb?) as though I restarted the ps3. So, in short, I ripped the game, and installed the pkg file...I did not move any files or anything...please explain how to fix this, so i can play the game! Please, any help would be appreciated, and remember I'm a noob to this stuff, so I don't understand much technical jargon! Thanks!

Obviously I used the eboot.bin from the PKG but honestly like I said I don't know if that's from a US version or not, so that could be a problem right?

If not then honestly I don't know what I could be doing wrong.

Here is what I understand from this.

1. I download a game from elsewhere thats on your list (Can you post the roots the the .pkg's use and what region the are?)
2. I use a FTP to upload the game to my /games folder on the root of my HDD (With the exception of the Eboot)
3. I run your .pkg off my memorystick
4. The game should play?

Or you could back up your own game to your ps3s hdd with a program like Open Manager. But yeah that's basically it.
