No you need to install the package and backup or download the game to your pc/external hdd.

Then open the backup of the game on your pc find usdir copy everything inside except the EBOOT.BIN using ftp to

dev_hdd0---game---bles*****(game id of the game u installed)---USDIR(should just be eboot)

Then launch the game from the xmb

Keep in mind you have transfer most of the game via FTP so FFXIII which is 40gb will take a very long time. NFS hot persuite which is only about 8 or 9GB will take almost 24hours according to winscp. Yes you need an external HDD or just download the game to your pc then transfer.

Once you have moved the contents of the USDIR from the backup to USDIR of the .pkg install (except the EBOOT) then the game will launch from the xmb

Ok since people seem to be having problems with this

1.install the package for the game with modded EBOOT.BIN

2. start FTP

3. Using winscp or filezilla connect to your ps3 and navigate to dev_hdd0 then game then select bles or blus***** (diferent for each game) open the one you want then open USDIR inside should be just EBOOT.bin

4. Find the backup of the game (must be on external hdd connected to your pc or on your pcs hdd)

5. open the game and find USDIR again, copy everything from inside USDIR EXCEPT THE EBOOT.BIN to

dev_hdd0---game---bles*****(game id of the game u installed)---USDIR(should just be eboot)

Then you can launch the game from the xmb

Thank if i helped

The USDIR of the .pkg (modded eboot) you installed will have just have the EBOOT.BIN inside.(not sure if this is true for every single one but all the ones i have installed just have eboot)

The USDIR of the backup will have multiple differnt files/folders inside. You need to copy all these files/folders (except the eboot) to the USDIR of the .pkg you installed
