Post: Team Fortress 2 Loading Custom maps?

so i was scrolling through FTP when i found the orange box folder. i found a folder called MAPS and it came up with all the maps in the game e.g CT_2FORT.BSP. i got really exited and downloaded a .BSP map then put it in. but when i loaded TF2 the maps weren't there?
i tried backing up the game on open manager then edited the new files the backup creates with no success. can someone try to load custom maps?
theres .GRP files with the name of the maps e.g CT_2FORT.GRP in there and i was thinking if we could make a GRP file of the new maps then it would work. is that possible?

no sorry as you know i originally hacked tf2 and had tried this as well using half life portal etc.. as of right now it cant be done. i would be interested in doing so get back to you soon. rawer i dont want to update to 3.55 cant someone dump the firmware using the ftp manger so i can usb load it :rolleyes:

do you know what the GRP files all about?
