I have taken apart my system and I heard if you take the motherboards battery out for 30 minutes it will work again is this true?

I had the YLOD. Took my motherboard out and pulled the battery then put it on a piece of aluminum foil and put it in my oven at 425 degrees for 10 minutes and it worked for a solid year after that. I sold it at the end of the year and STILL made 130$ lol.

Wrong section but I have moved it to the right one. If you have a Slim Ps3 that is why. Many have been saying there Slims are getting bricked because of this.

You said you were doing downgrade. That may be why.

I heard only the newer slim models have become bricked, and its because they came with FW higher than 3.41 already preinstalled, and don't have the ability to go lower than what they came with. My Slim PS3 is nowhere near new, and this worked fine.
