(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I'm sure this has been answered heaps, but I wanted to check, as I keep worrying about it. I installed CFW, then FTP server, and then installed the OFW back. If sony releases an update, can I update straight away without any worry of my PS3 being bricked, or should I wait to see what threads are posted when people are updating?

You update from a usb stick instead of network update, If you don't want to risk it. Smile

Wouldn't the PS3 update on USB be the same as updating via network?

i had cfw and the ftp server on my ps3 when it came out i used it a couple of days, then i no longer wanted it on there so i updated with a usb with FW from the official PS3 website (no longer available for some reason )

if you mean FW 3.60 then im not sure would have to wait Winky Winky

yes make 2 folders

1. "PS3 "

2. AND PLACE THIS " UPDATE" FOLDER IN THERE

3. Place FW in the update folder
