you are correct. No matter what, Jailbreak is only hardware. Geo case was more about ownership of the hardware, just like the Itouch jailbreak scenario. It's your Hardware you can do what ever you want with it, but what doesn't belong to you at all is Sony PSN. You don't own Netflix, you are only leasing to use it, same with pretty much all services, and it no difference with free services. They are run by Sony not by the Consumers.
